Ingredients:
- 2 lbs flank steak
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Fresh cilantro, chopped for garnish
Instructions:
Mix soy sauce, orange juice, lime juice, minced garlic, and olive oil in a bowl
This will make the marinade
Pour the marinade over the flank steak that is in a plastic bag that can be closed again
Make sure the steak is well covered and seal the bag
Put the mixture in the fridge for at least two hours, or better yet, overnight for the best results
Warm up the grill over medium-high heat
Take the steak that has been marinated out of the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes
In a small bowl, mix cumin, smoked paprika, black pepper, chili powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to make a dry rub
Take the steak out of the sauce and pat it dry
Spread the dry spice mix out on top of the steak
Put the steak on a grill that has already been heated up
Cook for 5 to 7 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it's done the way you like it
After taking the steak off the grill, let it rest for 5 minutes
Then, cut it across the grain
Before serving, sprinkle with chopped fresh cilantro
