Ingredients:
- 1 cup of butter, softened
- 3/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup of brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup of cooked and crumbled bacon about 6-8 strips
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy
Beat in the eggs one at a time, and then stir in the vanilla extract
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt
Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined
Fold in the chocolate chips and crumbled bacon until evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown
Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely
